First impressions are Nice

We have lobbed into Nice on the Mediterranean's Cote D'Azur....Cannes and Monaco are just down the road. We are 800 km south and just 150 m lower than in Strasbourg, but the effect on the weather is extraordinary and welcome. We have donned sunnies, dropped coats and cruised the boulevade.

First impressions?

The apartment is splendid...elegant, roomy, French. We all have accents.

The city is charming, lived in and buzzing. Summer here must be shuffle street, but the locals own the streets today.

The beach is gravel.
