We arrived in Rome Saturday night - in time to be met by the apartment owners, find an excellent trattoria for dinner, stock up at the supermarket and crash. On Sunday, Charlie and Mellissa scootered over and walked us around Centro for the day. We covered a lot of ground, ending with a lovely dinner at their apartment. Monday we have been out and about again, visiting places like Trevi fountain, the ghoulish crypt of the Capuchin monks - think 4000 skeletons turned into wall sculptures, light fittings and such, the Spanish steps and the Colluseum. With time for coffee, pizza and gelato!
